I asked her, while trying to get a nap, "Do you remember how it was when you gave birth to me?" She replied, "Aiyo, you have also given birth! So long ago, cannot remember la!" Thinking that this is my mother, the one who gave birth to me.....made me cry. Made me think how difficult it is for her that papa is no longer around. Now that she is a widow. How the Bible calls us to take care of widows. She was always close to papa, and papa loved her very much, and took care of all the household matters. Even my relatives tell me how much papa loves mummy. Only yesterday, she was telling me the fact that she does not know how to do so many things because papa used to do it for her, and how papa had 'spoiled' her. I think papa spoiled all of us sisters too, in some ways. Now I have to handle the shares that he bought for us....before, he did it all for us.
MUMMY AND PAPA - you look so, so pretty mummy! December 1964 |
MUMMY AND PAPA - still very pretty! 2013 |
ALL THE DAUGHTERS AND THEIR HUSBANDS PAPA'S 70TH BIRTHDAY 2009 Mummy, you still look very good!! |
We are blessed to have mummy. Jaden said yesterday, "At least we still have Ah Ma with us." Yes, sometimes it can be disheartening when she does not want to do what is good for her, like going out and being with people, but we will always love her and cherish her, and take good care of her. I am sure the Lord will make all things well! We love you mummy! Heaps!!!
........And I think I take after your good looks (of course I think you are better looking than I am....and papa is handsome too! ) since everyone says I look just like you! He he!

I am moved by your post. Hope your mummy finds comfort in the Heart of hearts, in Jesus who loved her first.
