LIFE IS SHORT!

Just heard about an hour ago that Jackie Chan is dead!! I quickly rushed to get my laptop and went online to check.....thank God it is only a hoax!! I was just thinking....so sad that he had to die so young (not too old!) and he does seem a very nice man....and I love his funny movies! But I was thinking (yes, I do think a lot!)..... people die, all of a sudden, and it is a shock because it probably was unexpected.
My dear Pingku ('ku' stands for aunty from my father's side) passed away suddenly on the 8th September 2013. It was a shock to all of us as there was no indication that she would leave us all so suddenly. But it happens all the time to people we do not expect to die - either so young, or so suddenly, without any indication. Life is indeed short. At Pingku's funeral, the pastor shared about her and the wonderful person that she was. More important of all, she knows the Lord and gave her life to Him in 2000. The pastor spoke on the reality of death, and that many times we do not think of death and the hereafter because we think we will not leave earth so soon. But we were challenged to look into this....that life is indeed short, and how we live now, the decisions that we make, determines where we go.
What do we want to leave behind? Would we be found faithful to our God? What would we leave behind for our children? May we be found always faithful to our Lord, and leaving a legacy of faithfulness. Enjoy this song........FIND US FAITHFUL
FIND US FAITHFULWe're pilgrims on the journey of the narrow roadAnd those who've gone before us line the wayCheering on the faithful, encouraging the wearyTheir lives a stirring testament to God's sustaining grace
Surrounded by so great a cloud of witnessesLet us run the race not only for the prizeBut as those who've gone before usLet us leave to those behind usThe heritage of faithfulness passed on through godly lives
CHORUS:Oh may all who come behind us find us faithfulMay the fire of our devotion light their wayMay the footprints that we leaveLead them to believeAnd the lives we live inspire them to obeyOh may all who come behind us find us faithful
After all our hopes and dreams have come and goneAnd our children sift through all we've left behindMay the clues that they discover and the memories they uncoverBecome the light that leads them to the road we each must find

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME!

I have been missing from writing on this blog of mine for a long time.....as I have been busy with the book's translation into Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese. Yes, it's finally going to be printed tomorrow! Yayyyy! I haven't actually stopped writing. The reason why I haven't been writing here is because I have been writing my 2nd book. And that is yet to be completed........because there is just so many new things to write about, and some things seem to be less important after a while. You will see what I mean when it is out. : )

It's been exactly one year since I stepped foot in Israel. God has done so much since then. Time certainly flies.....it seems that everyone around me feels the same too. But there are just so many great and exciting things that have been happening for the past two days in my life....the prayer seminar I went to by Philip Mantofa, and attending Kem Yobel (Jubilee Camp for the gathering of the Orang Asli). Philip Mantofa said that if we want to pray effectively for our nation, we have to pray sacrificially, and be willing to lay our lives for our nation. It is always about people's lives. At Kem Yobel, the faces of the Orang Asli made me weep. Seeing their joyful praise unto God, and their hunger for God, just makes my heart cry out to God to bless them, to raise them up. God loves the people of this land. There should be no difference in our standing in any way but man has exploited them and looked down on them, causing them to feel low and somewhat 'unworthy'. But God has done a great work amongst the many Orang Asli tribes! The lessons taught by Philip and another Indonesian pastor at Kem Yobel seems to speak the same - What is important is getting souls saved, through the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Many times, we spend our energy doing many things but what is important is the lives of people. The people of this nation is precious or our God, and we need to GO. Jesus repeated his command to GO (Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 16:15). Sometimes, I try hard to encourage people, to challenge them to walk with God, to share the gospel, so that they be fruitful in their walk with the Lord. At the end of it, it is to faithfully pray and let the Spirit of God lead and show us, and walk in the power of the mighty God that we serve, and people will see Him and draw near to Him.

The above is actually the summary of what I have been learning.....and the for the past 3 days.....things are now crystal clear.

Mighty is our God! God bless the people of this wonderful nation, MALAYSIA! Here is a wonderful video for all of you to watch......click ... Happy Malaysia Day!
